Know! Be! Do! Have!
Geez! It seems as though 2021 was just yesterday. The speed at which time seems to fly makes you realize how often we overlook the power of time and our power within time. Think about it- all we had to do was wake up, and boom, it’s a new day and a new year!
How we view life, understand life, and our experiences in life can impact our appreciation of time. For instance, “it’s just another day” or “ it’s just another year” tends to be the jargon of those who have some age on us or those who have perhaps even lost hope. I mean, how often have you heard a child refer to their birthday (or any special day) as just “another day”?
Do You Remember When?
Children have an innate resilience. They also have a keen understanding and awareness of the fact that when (not if) they wake up, a new day, their day, will meet them there. This new day, their day (because it’s not a movie if they’re not in it, LOL), will serve as an opportunity to do whatever they want, how they want to do it. Children have this uncanny ability to forget what is behind and look forward to what is ahead. Children just get it! They understand that all they have to do is wake up because children trust that tomorrow will come; tomorrow serves as their opportunity to be whoever and do whatever they decide.
Unless we, adults, take it upon ourselves to “bring them back to reality” (a “reality” that is often our personal, negative experiences, disguised as truth, projected onto them), children would continue to live with this innate understanding that they can and DO create their world, and what happens in it. They understand it as their right even, and they are correct!
God created you! So logically, He is also the ONLY one (yes, that means nobody, including your mom, dad, aunt, uncle, teacher, sibling, boss, or yourself) that determines your identity, value, worth, abilities, capabilities, power, and so forth. Knowing and understanding that the God, whose Spirit and power IS within you, was there, is there, and will be there before you get there, creates a sense of fearlessness, timelessness, and strength.
God said what He said!
So, What Does This Mean To You In 2022?
This means that course correction, or “being brand new” is a God thing. Literally and seriously, all you have to do is keep waking up (walking, stepping, speaking, saying what it is going to be even if it wasn’t that way yesterday, trying, doing, fighting, “just keep swimming”). He will clear the path, or create a new one, just for you, just because!
Remember, it is not “just another day” or “just another year”. Instead, it is a new year, a new day, a new hour, a new minute, and a new second-it is new; never existing before, and never to exist again.
2022 means that failure can only exist if you choose it.
So as cliché as it may sound, 2022, or NOW is an opportunity to start over because you can.
2022 invites you to not only keep waking up, but to wake up, forget what is behind, look forward to what is ahead, accept that you have innate power, and start making moves!
KNOW the Truth! BE (Become/Realize) the One! DO! HAVE (Produce/Create) Life!
